has anyone had experience with ceiling heating? I find the videos online interesting, but actually a bit illogical.

Radiant heat sources warm objects within the radiation field and only minimally heat the surrounding air directly—for ceiling heating, this would be the surfaces of furniture and the floor. The irradiated objects act as a storage medium and gradually warm the surrounding air.
I have something like this in the office, and it’s absolutely terrible. Since I like it warm, 25°C (77°F) or more is okay for me. Regulating the temperature is not possible at all. Admittedly, the entire system in the house was poorly designed, incorrectly set up, wrongly wired, and in some places simply broken.
