Hello
I am slowly starting to order the windows for our old building.
Question: which hardware would you recommend?
The options offered are basic security,
or RC 1 N (WK 1),
or RC 2 N (WK 2)
from Winkhaus.
I probably don’t need burglary protection because the windows will be installed on the 2nd and 3rd floors without balconies, so anyone would have to use a very long ladder.
All the windows are about 1300 x 1400 mm (51 x 55 inches) in size.
Thanks in advance

Basically correct, but for windows on the 2nd and 3rd floors without a balcony – so 6-8m (20-26 feet) high – it can be neglected 😉That is absolutely right. I intended to say it more generally.W
WilderSueden23 Nov 2022 09:36As always, the question of security depends not only on the window itself but also on whether the neighbor has easy access to their large ladder and the window is left open 😉
Hi
Thanks, I will save the money if the quality is about the same. Because if someone wants to enter the house, they would enter through the ground floor, not the upper floor, which would be much more complicated.
And since I have the 2nd/3rd floor in the house anyway, I can afford to save.
Thanks
