So a rimless toilet has problems with dirt around the rim...?Only if you constantly mess around on the rim...Hello everyone,
I'm bringing this thread back up. I'm facing the same decision and need a recommendation for a rimless toilet.
The options are:
- Geberit iCon
- Villeroy & Boch Subway 3.0
- Duravit ME
The concealed cistern is a Viega Prevista Dry.
Does anyone have experience with these models or their combination with this cistern?
Thanks and good luck
Ben

I am not very happy with our rimless toilet. Maybe it’s the model (Ideal Standard Connect), but two things bother me: occasional splashing when flushing—water "sprays" out of the toilet and ends up on the floor. We have so far fixed this by getting used to pressing the toilet seat down before flushing (though this might not be good in the long run for a soft-close seat).
Also, there are slight discolorations or deposits around the rim. I assume there’s always some water standing or running there. It looks like a lime scale ring. You really have to look closely to see it, but it doesn’t come off easily, even though the toilet is cleaned weekly by someone knowledgeable.
We wouldn’t buy this again. Rimless maybe (if the splashing isn’t just a model issue), but definitely not this model, even though I find it visually appealing.
