ᐅ Which Wall-Mounted Toilet: Villeroy & Boch, Geberit, or Duravit?

Hello everyone,
We are looking for toilets for our bathroom and guest toilet. We have shortlisted three models with the following main criteria:

- Preferably with a soft-close toilet seat included
- Maximum budget of 500-600 euros per toilet
- Wall-mounted
- Brand quality
- Open or rimless flush design
- Optional: refill basket for toilet fresheners or gel (not mandatory)

The models are V&B Subway, Geberit Icon, and Duravit Happy:

- Villeroy & Boch Subway 2.0 ViFresh wall-hung rim flush toilet, open rim, DirectFlush in white, with CeramicPlus and AntiBac // Item no.: 5614A1T2
- Matching seat: Villeroy & Boch Subway 2.0 removable toilet seat in white // Item no.: 9M68Q101

What are your opinions or experiences? What are the advantages or disadvantages of these models, or can you recommend something completely different?

I have since found out that the design is called a rimless toilet. I find it more practical because you can place two sheets of toilet paper on it, and then you almost never need to clean it with a brush afterwards.

Yuck!
These are the toilets that were almost exclusively used in the past.
- they tend to produce odors
- they use more water to flush everything away
- harder to clean because of the steps

Uh, are there any advantages?

If you place two sheets of toilet paper on the "terrace" beforehand, it slides more easily. Also, there is less splashing during use because the chair’s drop height is not that high. This is especially relevant for children, as you can better check the chair for things that don’t belong in it... Interesting topic. I wonder if people would be as open about this in real life?

But most people definitely don’t do that (especially kids and guests). With a floor-mounted toilet you don’t need anything like that to make it slide. You can also put two sheets in there and get the best of both worlds...

No, with a floor-mounted toilet the leaves immediately fill up with water and get sucked down. It’s true that guests probably won’t do this, but children can be taught not to do it...

I’m with Tolentino on this... With the others, my bottom gets wet when it falls in, and I don’t like that... plus, peeing in there is uncomfortably loud because the drop height is higher...
