Hello everyone,
I am currently planning to assemble my IKEA Hemnes wardrobe but am unsure which tools would be best to use. The manual usually lists only the basic tools, such as the Allen key included in the package, but I believe that some additional tools could make the assembly significantly easier or more efficient.
The wardrobe, with its numerous screws, nails, and possibly dowels, does present a challenge. Therefore, I would like to know:
Which tools are useful and recommended for assembling the IKEA Hemnes? Should I use power tools in addition to the included tool (usually a small Allen key)? Or is it worth having a special screwdriver, a cordless drill, a hammer with certain features, or something else?

How powerful was your cordless screwdriver approximately (in volts or nm torque)? I have a 12 V, and it doesn’t work very well, even when I set the torque low. Do you think a stronger 18 V is really necessary, or is it more about the design of the screwdriver?
Also: Would you use or recommend a pre-drilled set from IKEA, or prepare everything yourself from scratch? Pre-drilling can save a lot of effort, right?
