ᐅ Which switch series? Gira 55 or BJ Balance SI

We have the following switch series included in our standard electrical plan.

Gira 55 Standard
Busch-Jaeger Balance SI

Which series would you recommend?

Are there any quality differences between the series?

Or is it simply a matter of choosing the series you find most visually appealing?

Do you ever actually make any decisions entirely on your own, without asking here first? The quality is basically the same; with the switch manufacturers in Sauerland, there are hardly any differences. Differences between brands sometimes exist in the availability of special modules (that’s what I based my decision on, and whether they match my KNX switches), but that’s not relevant for you.

Since you want to retrofit a wireless smart home system in your semi-detached house, choose something that could be compatible. Retrofit switches are usually more rectangular than round. You can probably figure out which of the two series fits better. But then again…

If there are no differences in quality,

we will choose Gira 55.

As far as I can tell, the eve light switch uses the Gira 55.
Opus also uses the Gira 55 switches, as far as I know.

We will then decide on the Gira 55.

VW Golf in red or blue?

Both are standard series. Both work fine. I currently have the Balance SI and plan to switch to the Gira Event (with the matte 55mm (2.2 inches) inserts) when I get the chance.

Why not choose the one you like best?
However, you decide the color of the house yourselves, or is there a voting process for that as well?
