Hello everyone, I’m currently planning a new storage system for my IKEA Besta drawers and wondering which storage solutions—especially organizers like inserts, boxes, or dividers—work best and actually fit. The drawers are usually 40 cm wide (16 inches), and I want to neatly organize both small items like office supplies and medium-sized accessories. Which materials or product lines have proven reliable? Are flexible systems with adjustable dimensions recommended, or should I go for fixed inserts? I look forward to your experiences, tips, and specific recommendations that help make the best use of the available space and keep the drawers organized over the long term. Thanks in advance!

The right feel for the perfect combination comes with time!

Also, I am looking for a solution where the partitions can be fixed securely but are also easy to remove for occasional rearranging. Does anyone have practical experience with this?
Flexible partitions made of wood or plastic are also practical if the usage changes.
I would recommend plastic, especially if the drawers are used for different purposes. It is more flexible and much easier to maintain. Also, you don’t have to be as careful with the dividers if you reorganize frequently. It can also help to use small non-slip pads to keep the inserts in place. I completely understand your concern; I know the feeling of constantly wanting to reorganize. How often do you expect to rearrange them each month?
