Hello everyone,

I am currently looking into which spare parts customers most frequently order for the IKEA Hemnes series in order to better understand the range. I am particularly interested in specific parts that are often reordered due to wear, loss, or damage.

Are there any experiences or insights from a customer perspective on which spare parts are especially in demand for Hemnes furniture such as drawers, wardrobes, dressers, or beds?

I am thinking, for example, of hinges, screws, drawer slides, handles, or special shelves.

It would also be helpful to know if certain spare parts are more commonly reordered for specific pieces of furniture within the Hemnes series.

I look forward to your practical feedback and any tips on what to pay special attention to when ordering spare parts.

Hello Lumaro,

I’m happy to share my experience with you. For the Hemnes series, certain spare parts are actually requested quite frequently:

- Door hinges: These are the most vulnerable due to daily use and are often ordered because they loosen or wear out over time.
- Drawer slides or runners: Especially for heavily used drawers, the rollers or rails can sometimes come loose.
- Handles and knobs: These are either lost or break, particularly with frequent use.
- Screw sets: Customers often order complete screw sets for assembly and adjustments since individual screws are frequently hard to find.

Gibt es hier Erfahrungen oder Erkenntnisse aus Kundensicht, welche Ersatzteile bei Hemnes Möbeln wie z.B. Schubladen, Kleiderschränken, Kommoden oder Betten besonders gefragt sind?

For wardrobes, door magnets or interior linings are also often requested as replacement parts.

Tips for ordering spare parts:
- Always provide exact item numbers
- Ideally, remove the faulty part and take it along during the ordering process to avoid misunderstandings
- Some spare parts are supplied through IKEA’s ordering service, while others can be harder to get

I hope this helps you.

I can confirm that. Additionally, sliding rails for drawers are often damaged, especially when the furniture is moved frequently.

Hello everyone,

To add to the topic, I have summarized an overview for those interested, based on my industry knowledge and personal experience, of the most commonly reordered spare parts for the Hemnes furniture series:

1. Hinges – these are the main wear parts for all Hemnes wardrobes and dressers.

2. Drawer slides – especially important for dressers and bedside tables. Damaged rollers or runners need to be replaced.

3. Handles / knobs – they tend to get lost or break.

4. Fastening elements (screws, dowels) – particularly if the furniture is frequently assembled and disassembled.

5. Shelves – rare, but occasionally reordered, for example when customers need more storage space.

6. Door magnets or catches – especially for the wardrobes.

My recommendation:
- Always use the exact product name and part number when ordering replacements.
- If a spare part is not immediately available, check with the IKEA service center or online for alternative parts.
- For hinges in particular, I suggest ordering spares right away in case any issues arise.

If anyone has problems with the ordering process or needs guidance on how to remove the parts, I am happy to help with step-by-step instructions.
