That’s like with many things – a matter of personal taste. In the end, when everything is finished, there’s always something to criticize about any type of sink 😀

IKEA-Freund21 Jan 2016 11:14Hello,
I’m not sure if you can just forget about them, as I don’t have an IKEA sink. Personally, I would stick with stainless steel and avoid zero-radius sinks (among other things, they are harder to clean).
For this topic, I would recommend reading the relevant kitchen forums.
Best regards,

Juliette W21 Jan 2016 11:31I don’t know why Ikea sinks are dismissed so quickly. However, I don’t have one myself—only because our old granite sink was so excellent that we bought the exact same model again.
If I had to choose between stainless steel and ceramic sinks, I would always choose stainless steel without hesitation: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/spuele-keramik-oder-edelstahl.20915/
After all, why are all sinks in commercial kitchens made of stainless steel? But as I said, in the end, it comes down to personal preference.

robi_aus_ffm21 Jan 2016 12:04hello zumi,
I also decided on a stainless steel sink from a third-party supplier.
BLANCO AXIS II 6 S-IF.
The reason:
it is more functional. Thanks to the siphon positioned further back, it is easier to fit proper waste separation bins from Hailo as well as an additional drawer above.
It is easy to maintain, includes a glass cutting board and a matching stainless steel vegetable strainer.
Fits into a 60cm (24 inch) base cabinet.
With the matching faucet featuring a pull-out hose, I rarely have to remove the water tanks from the machines next to it for cleaning, and the hose makes many tasks easier, such as washing vegetables.
It also looks great 😀

I wanted to say that you can forget about Ikea sinks in terms of quality. Unfortunately, I like the look of those zero-radius sinks. I find the Bredskär visually appealing, but on one hand, I’m concerned because the faucet has to be installed directly into the countertop. Is that safe? However, I can imagine that these sinks aren’t very practical for everyday use 😀
What about Systemceram? I will have a white kitchen with a laminate countertop. (Is that what they’re called as well?!)
