ᐅ Which type of shower screen and shower base should I choose?

Becker84Hello, we are currently considering which shower wall and floor option to choose.
a) Masonry shower wall with tiles, sloped screed shower floor with tiles, glass door only
b) Shower wall made of plastic/glass panels, metal/ceramic shower tray, glass door
In our current apartment, the tiled shower wall accumulates reddish limescale in the grout lines.
Are there special grout types or coatings that prevent this from happening?
Is option b) preferable in terms of required painting or plastering work?
I like both options.

You have to clean glass... or constantly wipe it dry.And tiles don't?
We previously had option b) and now have option a), and I am happy with the new version.
In my opinion, tiles require less cleaning than glass. However, we only have very little lime in our water.
I would base this decision more on the floor plan and lighting conditions than on the cleaning effort.

and no tiles? In our current rental apartment, we have a fully tiled shower without a glass screen, and we clean the tiles maybe once a month because nothing is visible beforehand.
In the old apartment, we had to wipe down the glass partition after every shower; otherwise, water spots would show immediately.
That is why we have decided to go for a fully tiled, walk-in shower (variant 1) in our own house.
