Hello,
we are planning to move into our own home in April. Although we have a cable connection (Unitymedia), we want to watch TV via a satellite dish.
Our electrician said that if there is still some budget left, definitely go for a Kathrein system.
Our local small specialist retailer said that Kathrein is no longer worth the high price and recommended the Dur-Line brand instead.
What have you installed?
Is the brand still really important today when buying/installing satellite equipment?
What diameter do you have?
Thank you very much!

SteffenBank31 Jan 2018 06:40We installed an 80cm (31.5 inches) Kathrein dish, a Kathrein LNB (UAS 585), and a Kathrein multiswitch (EXR 58/ECO) and are very satisfied with them. There have been no outages during heavy rain and wind.
Previously, in the rental building, we had a budget dish and frequently experienced problems with the LNB (regardless of brand, such as Schwaiger, TechniSat, etc.) in rainy conditions.

I found the email with the order details!
Satellite system with 8 outputs for 2 satellites – Fuba DAA 850, Inverto LNB, Spaun SMS 9807NF.
Around 280 euros was recommended in the satellite forum.
No failures in 2.5 years.
If you install it yourself, remember to consider the equipotential bonding, etc.
