Hello,
We have planned to install shutters throughout our house, which are to be operated electrically.
We have now received a quote for the motors, which I find quite bold. The upgrade of each shutter with an E-Motor Siral EL4 50/8nm without power supply cable costs around €175. What do you think of these motors? I would like to control all the shutters together via a central control system. Is it advisable to use radio frequency (RF) control? Or would wired installation be more cost-effective? What additional costs should I expect for the connection and switches? How reliable are these Siral motors, and are they worth the price? The offer comes from the company that will also be installing the shutters... Shouldn’t I receive a credit since the belt winders are not needed? The manual shutters were already included in the contract and have been paid for...

We are currently installing central switches as well, but only for individual groups, not for the entire house (I don’t see any benefit in that).
Everything with GIRA control units – not particularly expensive and quite straightforward.

Because wireless systems are not very reliable and are always more of a last resort... or for those who don’t want to install cables...
Common issues include missed commands, dead batteries, shutters moving the wrong way... and so on...
Affordable doesn’t always mean good, and with wired motors, you can use different brands, for example, after a failure you can switch to another brand... with wireless, you are usually tied to the manufacturer...
