Hello dear forum members,

I have a new white house with anthracite window frames and door. Now we need to plan the entrance. We can only use permeable paving stones and just can’t decide. Shell limestone or these speckled anthracite white stones fade so quickly, everyone has them at the moment, but after a few years or even months they already look dirty. I need your advice. I will also send you some pictures shortly.

Best regards

Yes, that’s true. Your white facade will not stay bright white for long, depending on how much dust blows around your area. Light colors darken quickly due to dirt, coatings wear off, and they fade under sunlight.

If you really don’t want to do any maintenance for 15 to 20 years, you will have to choose standard bricks in gray or anthracite.

Alternatively, you can pick a light color but will need to clean it regularly with a pressure washer every few weeks.

Hi,

we have chosen almost the same combination and the following bricks.

I want to briefly remind you of the 1970s, when it seemed like every bathroom was designed in green, orange, or purple. It was very trendy back then. Today, no one wants something like that anymore. In most cases, it even reduces the property’s value.

Modern designs using anthracite are another trend like that. White facades are basically timeless. For that reason, I would lean toward natural tones. The anthracite wave is already starting to fade.

All that’s missing now is the gray welded wire fence.
