Hello!
Which of the two semi-detached houses do you think has a better orientation?
1436 (windowless wall facing southeast) or 1437 (windowless wall facing northeast)?
Best regards
Peter

Ga/St marks the (3 m (10 ft) wide) area where the parking spaces (parking space, carport, or garage) must be located. However, the marked area is much too long. The length of the house wall is 10 m (33 ft), but a parking space only requires about 5 m (16 ft). This means the parking space only takes up the section along the front half of the wall facing the street. Therefore, a floor-to-ceiling window can be placed on the garden side of this wall on the ground floor. There are no issues like this on the upper floors or attic.

@ypg: At 1436, the situation is similar to your terraced house but not quite as problematic:
1) Terraced houses are often narrower and longer, so the windowless side is even larger than at 1436 (10 m (33 ft)).
2) In your terraced house, the windowless side faces south, but at 1436 it faces southeast.

Well, it’s a tough decision: Will you regret later having chosen the cheaper plot because of less natural light? Or do you buy the less expensive plot, simply plan for one or two extra windows, and save a lot of money that way?

With the 1436 plan, you will always have your neighbor and/or their (ugly, tall) fence right in front of you when sitting on the terrace. This is not the case with the 1437 plan.

One more argument: with 1437, the garden has a better layout (wider rather than longer) 😀
