Hello everyone,
I recently tried assembling the Ikea Brimnes wardrobe and noticed some common pitfalls that I would like to understand better in order to avoid them next time.
My question to the community is: What are the most frequent mistakes when assembling the Ikea Brimnes?
I am especially interested in issues that repeatedly cause problems, such as using the wrong screws, the order of assembly, possible mix-ups of parts, or difficulties with alignment.
Who has had similar experiences or can offer specific advice on what to pay close attention to? Tips on tool selection or how to make the assembly process more efficient are also very welcome.
Thank you in advance!

My suggestion: Preparing the parts with custom-made small markings and also using a spirit level and angle tool could help.Exactly. Especially with furniture like Brimnes, which comes with sliding doors, careful preparation and measuring before each fixing step is essential.
I also recommend creating a calm environment during assembly. Distractions often lead to parts being mixed up or steps being skipped.
Another common issue I’ve noticed is attaching the handle strips in the wrong order. Once the doors are installed, it can be difficult to fit the handles due to limited movement. It’s better to do this beforehand.
Lastly, patience during assembly pays off, since any incorrectly installed parts usually require time-consuming disassembly.
