Hello
We need to buy all new furniture for our new build.
The current pieces are just inexpensive temporary furniture that wouldn’t survive a move.
The furniture should definitely be of good quality and suitable for a new build 😀 (so nothing from, for example, discount stores). Durability is also very important.
Which furniture brands should we consider for living room cabinets (sideboard, lowboard, etc.), tables (dining table, coffee table), and upholstered furniture (sectional sofas)?
Which furniture brands offer good quality in the mid-price range?
The following brands come to mind:
Musterring
Hülsta
What other brands are there in the mid-price range where quality and price are well balanced?

HülstaYou will probably spend a smaller five-figure amount there...But first, think about what kind of furniture you need and/or want. Wood? Solid wood? Chairs classic or modern? High-gloss/lacquered fronts, etc.
P.S. I also think Hülsta is great

Fuchsbau3520 May 2022 13:20About 95% of my furniture has been successfully sourced from Ikea for many years. I know that they also offer some items of lower quality. You just have to look at each piece individually. Personally, I find that many items in various furniture stores look quite cheap and are not necessarily of better quality, yet they are more expensive than comparable models at IKEA.
Aren’t Musterring products positioned in the mid-price range?
Yes, we were thinking roughly of white high-gloss wooden furniture. Chairs should be modern.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be solid wood (we don’t have very high requirements). It should look neat and not break quickly (with normal use).
Which brands should we consider?
Or should we not focus on brands at all and just visit the well-known large furniture stores to see what makes a good impression? (Unfortunately, we don’t have the expertise to assess this properly.)

H.G., "Clever Möbel kaufen" (Smart Furniture Buying)
On the website, larger German furniture manufacturers are also discussed. In the book, you will mainly find methods to assess furniture quality as well as tips to recognize and use furniture sellers’ sales strategies to your own advantage.
I found it extremely helpful.

Gather impressions and also try handling some "cheap" furniture. This way, you’ll quickly notice the differences. In the end, the furniture must look and function the way you envision.Similar topics
