Hello forum community,

We are currently deciding which water-to-water heat pump to choose.

We have been offered a Waterkotte Ai1 Geo 5008.5 and a Dimplex WI 14TU.

Each heating contractor specializes in their respective brand.

Does anyone have experience with either system and could share some tips or their experiences?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

What was the result of the heat load calculation according to DIN 12831?
Has a suitability test of the water quality been performed?

Hello €uro,

does that matter? My question was only about the manufacturer and the devices, whether anyone has experience with them. The sizing of the heating load and heating capacity as well as the water quality are the same for both devices.

We have been using a Waterkotte Ai1 Eco Touch (with geothermal energy) for 2 months now, with no issues so far. The unit operates quietly and is easy to use, including via the app.
We do not have any long-term experience with it yet.

The heating load is determined by the requirements and necessities of the building, location, and user behavior. It is independent of the heat generator.

This will be of little use, because what works well with A might barely work with B and could become a money pit with C.
At best, experiences with operation or implementation of the building application could be helpful.
No suction or recharge well, water quality will also not be identical, just like the actual demand (capacity, energy) for heating and hot water.

Hello €uro,

Just to clarify again: it has been decided that it will be a water-to-water heat pump, and the heating load, water quality, etc., have been calculated correctly and are available.

My question here is about the product, the manufacturer, and so on—not about your well-known money pit, your HVAC work, or anything like that.

This is a great forum, but unfortunately some top users don’t answer the original poster’s questions and instead prefer to share their opinions on who knows what.

Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest.

@nordanney:

Thank you for your experience, that’s exactly what I wanted to hear.

Thanks
