Hello everyone,
I just bought my kitchen at IKEA yesterday, but without appliances.
Firstly, I’ve often heard that their appliances are not very good, and secondly, I thought 🙄 I could get them cheaper elsewhere!
So, I need an oven, a separate cooktop (not above the oven), a refrigerator (with a freezer compartment), and possibly a dishwasher!
How satisfied are you with your IKEA appliances, and which ones are the best?
I would really appreciate your opinions.
Best regards, Vronile 😉 😉

IKEA-Profi10 Aug 2012 19:07At the start of the catalog, so early September...Most items are already available!

Maverick185413 Aug 2012 07:29I’m not sure if IKEA appliances are good, but you can find brand-name appliances online at similar prices, sometimes cheaper, sometimes more expensive. Just try searching online. However, you need to compare properly, for example, ovens with pyrolytic cleaning function..., induction cooktops...Don’t I have to do that everywhere???

Elvis_122013 Aug 2012 10:18Basically, I can only say good things about IKEA appliances. Most of their products offer excellent value for money (where else can you get a freestanding brand-name induction cooktop for €299 (about $320) with a 5-year warranty?).
In general, I would buy almost everything from there myself – exceptions are items that IKEA simply doesn’t offer, no matter how much you pay or ask, such as ovens with telescopic rails (which hopefully will change next year) or a steam oven, if I ever needed one.
The new top dishwasher model (Enastände) is basically one of AEG’s current high-end models, sold under a different name and with a slightly modified design at IKEA for a significantly lower price.

EinrichtungsNiete13 Aug 2012 14:22The only downside for me regarding IKEA dishwashers is the following:
I don’t like fully integrated dishwashers.
I would prefer a semi-integrated model with a visible control panel, where you can set the program or check if the cycle is finished without opening the door.
Unfortunately, there is only the inexpensive LAGAN model with a white front, and nothing more premium...
Best regards

Elvis_122013 Aug 2012 16:07That’s why the new dishwashers (starting at 499€) also include a built-in display that shows you how long the selected program will take. They also feature a colored LED indicator that projects onto the floor (red = running; green = finished).
I would generally advise against the Lagan model – it is no longer up to date in terms of water consumption and features.

EinrichtungsNiete13 Aug 2012 17:27I wouldn’t want to choose the Lagan either, precisely because it’s no longer up to date.
A display that shows me before starting how long the program will take is nice, but it would also be useful to have a remaining time indicator during the operation.
Unfortunately, this feature is only available on semi-integrated models.
