Hello,

I wanted to ask where it is best to place the Wi-Fi mesh system in a new build.

We have a basement, ground floor, first floor, and attic. The internet connection with the main router is in the basement.

Where is the best place to position the mesh repeaters? One per floor?

Which mesh system would you recommend for a stable Wi-Fi connection?

No, a switch (with load in the home environment) provides full 1 Gbps duplex on every port.

Ok, we have planned 2x LAN + 2x satellite cables at 6 locations in the house.

If more LAN cables are needed, we can simply add a switch.

Don’t forget the garage… it can be useful

A switch as a distribution point consumes power. Unless you connect it via 10 Gbit or similar.

Man, writing on a phone while on the go is annoying… Good point about planning for garage Wi-Fi and an additional LAN connection. Regardless of whether it’s for smart speakers, charging stations, or vehicles…

He is building with a developer, and once he finishes choosing the finishes, he will be broke..
