I recently moved into my new house but still don’t have an internet connection. It’s starting to get really frustrating having to rely on mobile data all the time. Does anyone have any affordable suggestions?

As promised, here is the report: Telekom handed over the line to 1&1 and activated the connection at the house on the scheduled date.
However, the initial satisfaction was short-lived.
The setup in the junction box around the corner was either forgotten or done incorrectly......we don't exactly know what happened. Telekom kept giving us the runaround for days.
Meanwhile, the connection is finally working, but now our kids have no TV. 😕 The electrician is coming tomorrow.

As a tip, I can recommend the Aldi prepaid stick; with it, you hardly pay more than usual for mobile data.

It probably always depends on the extent of usage.

With 70-100GB per month and Video on Demand, I would not want to be on mobile while on the go.

Well, with LTE this is not a problem – but affordable data packages like that are hardly available 😀. However, Aldi is probably the completely wrong place for that...
