As part of the electrical planning, we have decided on an intercom system with video functionality.
Our electrician offered us the following model for approximately €1,050:
- Legrand Lineo 200 metal surface-mounted video intercom
with Polyx Video Basic handsfree surface-mounted indoor station
Our neighbors have the same system and are very satisfied with it. However, we don’t like the outdoor unit. In our opinion, it looks too much like plastic.
Ideally, we would prefer something made of stainless steel, or at least a more visually appealing outdoor unit.
Which intercom system do you have or could you recommend?

nordanney29 Sep 2014 10:53We also chose a Legrand system. The outdoor unit is not the most attractive, but it features large indoor displays with many technical features.
Alternatively, we looked at the stainless steel system from zuelpicher edelstahldesign (just google it). Great design and excellent quality! But unfortunately, it was also extremely expensive.

I just checked with zuelpicher. The stainless steel video intercom KTUV105G-Smart is 50 € less expensive than the LeGrand one offered to us.
Or am I missing something?

nordanney29 Sep 2014 11:44In your version, that is correct. We chose the model with order number 369200 from Legrand (with the 7-inch indoor screen). It is probably the previous model or something similar and costs only half as much as the Zülpich version with one (smaller) indoor screen.

Is that your model? It has a different outdoor unit compared to ours. I actually find that one quite nice.
But you can’t adjust the camera on that one, right? We are planning to install the doorbell on the side next to the front door, so basically parallel to the door. Will the camera properly capture the person standing in front of the door?
