Hello everyone, I’m planning to get a new IKEA Pax wardrobe and I’m especially interested in the models that are considered popular within this community. I’m mainly curious about which versions (e.g., width, height, wardrobe system configurations) have proven to be particularly practical and durable. Which Pax wardrobes do you prefer for their flexibility (such as interior organization, door types, or assembly options) as well as their appearance? Are there any specific combinations you would recommend – maybe based on experience with frequent use or particular living situations? I’m looking forward to your detailed opinions and recommendations, including any advice on possible weaknesses or less optimal variations.
As an addition: For long-lasting durability, it is important to pay attention to the materials used. Melamine-coated shelves are sturdy, and for the doors, I choose lacquered fronts, which are more resistant to scratches than foil fronts. A width of 100 cm (39 inches) is standard, but for larger rooms, 150 cm (59 inches) or modules placed side by side are worth considering. Those who need a lot of hanger space should plan for double-level clothing rods.
