Hello everyone, I am currently planning a new wardrobe and considering purchasing an Ikea Pax wardrobe. My question is: Which Ikea Pax wardrobe combinations are especially practical, particularly if you value flexible storage and a highly customizable interior? I have a room about 2.5 m (8 ft) wide and 2.3 m (7.5 ft) high available. It is important for me to have a combination that works well for different types of clothing (from hanging shirts to folded sweaters), and also allows for good storage of shoes and accessories. Does anyone have experience or specific recommendations regarding size, interior layout, or door types? Thanks in advance for your answers!
As an addition: For shoes, I find a separate shoe rack inside the Pax wardrobe with adjustable height very practical. You might also want to try models with pull-out shelves, which are efficient for storing shoes among other clothing items. This makes access easier and helps keep things organized. If the shoe compartment in the wardrobe is not sufficient, you can use separate boxes or transparent shoe boxes.

Sliding doors require about 7cm (3 inches) more width due to overlapping panels, but they save space in terms of depth.Exactly, in addition, the tracks must be installed very precisely; otherwise, the doors can get stuck. Adjusting them afterward can be somewhat complicated. However, they do offer advantages if the room is narrow. If the doors rub, adjusting the top and bottom can help.

I will now try out the Ikea planner, paying particular attention to the combination of two 50 cm (20 inch) frames, the mix of clothes rods and drawers, as well as sliding doors. The idea of 35 cm (14 inch) depth for shirts sounds interesting, but I tend to prefer 58 cm (23 inch) since I also need to accommodate thicker jackets and sweaters. Thanks again to everyone for the constructive, professional support!
