I am planning to furnish my small bedroom with an IKEA PAX wardrobe but have very limited space in terms of both width and depth. My question is: Which PAX options—especially regarding depth, width, and height—are best suited for very small apartments to maximize storage space without overwhelming the room? Additionally, I am interested in whether narrower but taller models are preferable, or if shallower, less deep wardrobes are more practical for everyday use. Are there any recommendations for door types and interior fittings specifically for small spaces?

The additional cost and construction effort are higher—does the extra vertical space really make a difference in small rooms? Or does the slightly lower option already provide enough storage with minimal visual impact?

In rooms with low ceilings or limited space, the 201 cm (79 inches) option often looks more balanced because the cabinet appears less overpowering. Additionally, assembly is easier and the price is lower. Whether the extra storage is used depends on the way you use the space – many hardly fill the top sections.
