Hello everyone, I am planning to get an Ikea PAX wardrobe but face the challenge of very limited space in my apartment. My main question is: Which of the different PAX modules from Ikea are the most efficient in terms of space utilization when the available area is small and tight? I am especially interested in dimensions, internal divisions, and the flexibility of the modules to make the best use of small niches without losing space due to thick side panels or impractical depths. Additionally, it would be great if someone could share experiences with the different depth options or narrower widths. Thanks in advance for any helpful answers!

vincent4627 May 2021 13:02I’m in a similar situation; space is extremely tight, especially for doors. I opted for sliding doors with light rollers. They make daily use much easier and allow you to open the closet much more easily, even in small rooms. This reduces stress and saves space.

I would like to add that, in addition to the narrow 50cm (20 inches) widths and 35cm (14 inches) depths, combining these with interior dividers such as shoe inserts and drawers significantly optimizes space utilization. Especially in smaller PAX variants, fabric baskets and pull-out organizers are also worthwhile to make full use of the storage space.
