Hello everyone,
I am currently planning a new kitchen layout using IKEA Metod and am focusing on drawers as a storage solution. My question is: Which IKEA Metod drawers offer the best storage options?
I am interested not only in maximizing volume but also in intelligent compartmentalization and easy accessibility. Important factors for me are material stability, drawer height, and the ability to use internal organizers.
Are there any experiences with the different widths and heights or recommended combinations to equip smaller kitchens with maximum efficiency?
Looking forward to concrete tips and personal experiences!

In a compact space, it makes sense to avoid wider drawers if they become bulky or difficult to handle.I would like to add that when space is limited, integrating internal organizer systems becomes especially important.
Besides traditional cutlery trays, there are flexible dividers and modular inserts made from various materials (plastic, bamboo) that help make the most of every centimeter (inch). These systems are also easy to replace or reconfigure to adapt to changing needs.
Choosing drawers with metal sides and sturdy runners also extends their lifespan, especially when fully loaded.
My final tip: consider whether lightweight rolling or pull-out units with continuous handles might be useful at the bottom to easily access, for example, storage containers.
