Hello everyone, I am currently looking closely at the various pieces of furniture from the Ikea Brimnes series and planning to purchase some items soon. My main question is: Which pieces from the Brimnes series are particularly easy to assemble? I am mainly interested in models that are relatively straightforward to put together for someone without much experience in furniture assembly, ideally with clear instructions and as few small parts and tools required as possible. Perhaps someone here has practical experience and can recommend which items are especially manageable and cause little time consumption and frustration during assembly. I look forward to knowledgeable and detailed opinions!

I found the Brimnes bed storage box the easiest. Few parts, simple instructions, quickly assembled.

Regarding the topic of "easy assembly" in the Brimnes series, I can specify: In my experience, the dressers are the simplest. They usually have well-thought-out, standardized joints, clearly explained in the instructions, and require only a few different types of screws. In particular, the "Brimnes dresser with 3 drawers" comes highly recommended. The drawer slides are self-explanatory, and the assembly of the carcasses is designed to be straightforward.

I don’t find these drawer slides self-explanatory at all; rather, they seem unnecessarily complicated. Brimnes, in my opinion, is often overrated anyway. For beginners, these rather cheap-feeling parts tend to be off-putting. Why not just buy furniture that won’t cause frustration from the start?

Thanks for your input. What I’m mainly interested in, from a practical perspective, is which Brimnes furniture pieces are particularly easy to assemble, not whether the series is generally good. Also, I want to know which parts are specifically suitable for beginners. Maybe you could specify which exact pieces you had more trouble with?

I just assembled the Brimnes daybed this week, and it was really easy! The instructions are very clear, and the panels are well pre-made. It’s enjoyable and really motivating, so if you’re thinking about getting one – go for it!
