Good morning,
In the bedroom, one entire wall will be fitted with a built-in wardrobe. The basic frame consists of 44 by 44 millimeter (1.7 by 1.7 inch) planed battens from the hardware store. The exterior will have louvered doors, also from the hardware store.
The problem is that we would like to use soft-close hinges for the doors. However, at the corners, the door does not fully cover the planed battens by about 32 millimeters (1.3 inches), and there is also a gap of about 20 millimeters (0.8 inches) in the middle. We considered using furniture hinges, but they do not provide soft closing and add 4 millimeters (0.16 inches) in thickness. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks, and have a nice Easter Monday.
Matt
