Hi, I’m curious to know which main facade color you have chosen. Let’s leave aside stripes and decorations for now. I just want to know the most commonly used base color.
We haven’t made a final decision yet, but it will probably be a light yellow or light beige shade, or something similar.
Under no circumstances will we choose a white house, even if it might be somewhat cheaper. We’ve seen this with my parents’ neighbors. They had a white house and had to repaint it after 10 years due to general dirt buildup. My parents’ house, built around the same time, is a light yellow tone – and you can barely see any dirt. By the way, the house is not located in an area known for heavy pollution from industry (it was in the past, but not anymore). The neighbors have now also opted for a light color.
Our windows will be white. We would have liked colored frames, but the price difference for colored windows was significantly higher than for choosing a light exterior wall color. Besides, window frames can be cleaned (which is more difficult with the exterior plaster).
One tip I received from the building owners’ association:
Make sure the plaster is tinted accordingly. If the exterior plaster is only painted over, and then the paint rubs off (e.g., from a passing bicycle scraping against it), a white stripe will remain on the wall.

On the upper floor/knee wall, there is an external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) in pure white (thanks to the roof overhang, we hope the color will last for a long time).
