Greetings,

We are hopefully starting the construction of a carport soon. I want to prepare conduit pipes for photovoltaic cables in the gable roof. Which type of conduit pipe do you recommend?

Argh, network cable needed?

Only if you choose to install the inverter outside.
If you want it inside the house, you won’t need a network cable outside.
Thanks for the clarification @miho

Thanks for the addition @miho

You often only need the network cable if you don’t have reliable Wi-Fi outside. For example, Fronius inverters can easily connect via Wi-Fi. Most other models probably support this as well.
So it’s not mandatory, but it can be helpful.
Maybe the future electric car will want to download updates at night. In that case, having a Wi-Fi access point outdoors for good coverage would also be useful.
