I am currently planning to enhance my IKEA Hemnes wardrobe with a few DIY upgrades to improve both its appearance and functionality. Do you have any experience or recommendations on which modifications are especially popular and effective for Hemnes furniture? I am particularly interested in upgrades that are relatively easy to implement but offer significant improvements, for example in storage capacity, stability, or aesthetics.

Thank you very much for all the helpful tips! The advice on screw sizes, pre-drilling, and soft-close hinges is especially useful to me.
I will try reinforcing with angle brackets and use a battery-powered LED strip for the lighting.
