Since I couldn’t find a suitable forum via Google, I’m giving this a try here.
We are looking for a sectional sofa or couch with the following features:
- Adjustable seat depth
- Adjustable backrest
- Modern design (lounge style?)
- Modular or freely configurable
We came across the "Alessio" model from the Dieter Knoll Collection. Unfortunately, the XXL version was mirrored in a way that didn’t suit our needs. When we asked the salesperson to configure the couch for us, he found out the model is no longer available for order. Also, there is no information about it online.
-> Does anyone know who manufactures this couch? (some models of this retail brand are produced by Koinor)
-> Does anyone know of an alternative?
Budget is 3,000 euros, possibly extendable to 4,000 euros or more.

nordanney23 Feb 2019 22:31Instead of Dieter Knoll, take a look at models by Ewald Schillig. They offer similar designs—good quality and also not inexpensive.
Ewald Schillig is now ES Brand and sells his sofas together with Easysofa.
I love his clean lines and would have recommended him as well.
Vertical adjustment combined with reclining backrests naturally comes at a cost.
I would carefully consider whether you will actually use that feature.

I arranged for them to deliver it to Germany—even though at the time they claimed they didn’t offer delivery outside Poland.
To this day, the corner sofa still looks like new.
I know they are now selling on Amazon.de and offer free shipping to Germany. You can get a very high-quality piece of furniture for little money.

Marius As a fellow countryman, I read through the reviews since I already like the look. The workmanship is described as very good, which covers all visible aspects. But as one reviewer mentioned: you shouldn’t jump on it or drop onto it.

SabineWe also have one from Schillig with an adjustable backrest – we keep it at 100cm (39 inches) and don’t adjust it.
