ᐅ Which companies offer affordable interior finishing services for shell homes?

Hey, since I have a relatively limited budget, I’m really trying to consider all options. One of my ideas: prefabricated house kits as a shell construction are usually quite affordable. If you order a kit and hire an external company to complete the work (many kits are also offered as turnkey solutions), the price could probably be a bit lower, right? Has anyone done this before? Does anyone know companies in the Berlin area that offer this?
That sounds great, like a dream. Regarding the self-build house, theoretically I have an architect, a mechanical engineer, an electrician, and a gas-water plumber in my close circle of friends, whom I’m already constantly bothering because I talk about nothing else but my little house.

Come visit me and take a look at my house. I have been living on a complete construction site for almost 4 years. If this makes you feel warm and cozy inside, do the same.
However, I suspect the reaction will more likely be to run away screaming. I have seen many visitors run away screaming already.

I’ve seen many visitors run away screaming :cool _O: Surely exactly 1.5 to 5 seconds after being asked if they wouldn’t mind helping out for a short one or two weeks, about 10 hours a day, in exchange for ravioli and cola...
Well: Some people know what it’s all about and how exhausting and tough it really is.
Others: They dream. Building castles in the air is easy.
The friendships that survive a build like this, where people dedicate 100% of their free time to help out: well, I’d like to see those. That might work within family. Friends: you don’t make any with a self-build project.
The fact is: the hard reality of the situation always shows up brutally, knocks on the door, comes in... and stays. Without ravioli. Without cola. Only with a mocking laugh.
My partner and I have a similar issue with having a difference of 50,000 (fifty thousand) in equity and 5,000 euros net income. The problem is that even with a shell house, the costs are not fixed, or do you also have a lawyer or a building expert to review the contract? And if you are currently single, who can guarantee that a partner would want to move into the house? Maybe they work in southern Berlin, and the house is located in the north? I am also skeptical about building a shell house and then having it be a construction site for several years. How do you plan to hold your friends accountable for any workmanship defects? That can really strain a friendship, and your friends might have families or, in a few years, their priorities might change quickly. It would be better to save some money first or live, live, live and travel, see the world.
