ᐅ Which central ventilation system?

we want to install a central ventilation system (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery) and are currently looking into different manufacturers. However, the market is quite confusing, so I am interested in hearing about your experiences with various brands.

I would find app control quite useful. It’s not a must-have, but it would be nice. Ultimately, functionality, ease of cleaning, reliability, and electricity consumption should be the main priorities.

Do you have any tips on what we should definitely pay attention to during installation?

Helios – not an app, but a web interface. Easy to clean, you can cheaply make your own filter, and the power consumption is practically the same for all.

And they have good support. In our case, (just bad luck) the circuit board was defective after about one year, and it was quickly and easily replaced by a technician.

So far, I’ve read a lot of negative experiences with Helios. I just like the web interface. I guess it’s a bit of a gimmick... but a nice one.

What did you pay, and did you do any of the work yourselves? Because apart from changing the filters, we don’t really plan to do anything ourselves.

Actually, it doesn’t really matter what you buy and have installed, the devices are 90% identical...

What is important is that the installer is familiar with the system and knows the best way to install everything in the house.

We didn’t do anything ourselves. The system, for about 300 m² (3,230 sq ft) of floor area, cost around €10,000. It was installed by our heating contractor.
