Hello everyone,
I am currently planning to assemble an IKEA Platsa cabinet system and have some experience with furniture assembly, but I still have certain uncertainties, especially regarding common mistakes that can occur during the assembly of Platsa.
Specifically, I am interested in: What are the most frequent assembly errors with IKEA Platsa that should definitely be avoided?
I’m not looking for general advice, but rather typical specific problem areas, for example with alignment, connecting the individual modules, wall mounting, and so on.
Who among you has experience with Platsa and can explain where errors typically happen? Are there fittings or screws that are often installed incorrectly, or common pitfalls that a beginner might easily overlook?
I look forward to your feedback and possibly tips that go beyond the standard instructions.

One common problem I often see is incorrectly positioned anchors. If these are installed incorrectly, the modules cannot be properly connected or there will be play between them.
Additionally, the installation of the wall bracket should not be underestimated, especially with heavy modules.

I would like to add that when assembling IKEA Platsa, the adjustment to uneven floors is often overlooked. This leads to crooked units.
I always recommend using a small square to measure and adjusting the feet of the units accordingly.
Furthermore, it is important not to apply too much force when connecting the units, as this can damage the connection points.
