I want to install a wall-mounted garden hose box on an insulated wall (gray 24 cm (10 inch) concrete hollow block with 8 cm (3 inch) EPS insulation). What is the most cost-effective way to do this? The original screws (M5x60) are obviously too short.

Mounting spacer systems from brands like Würth or Fischer seem quite expensive. Would long anchor bolts work as well? However, for all systems I find only larger diameters such as 8 or 10 mm (0.3 or 0.4 inch) with the required length of about 140 mm (5.5 inch). Does anyone have advice?

I would drive or set a post into the ground in front of the house and attach the box to it.

Well, a hose reel does weigh quite a bit and is often handled or used, so personally, I would prefer to install thermal anchors/screws (they don’t cost that much either; a thermal anchor should be around 10€).
Otherwise, there are also special insulation anchors available for smaller items like mailboxes, lights, sensors, and cameras.

That’s exactly why I would trust a post with a 70cm (28 inches) ground sleeve, possibly even concreted in. But everyone has their own preferences.
