Hello everyone,

The concrete slab company needs a small amount of water on site, so little that it’s not worth ordering a water tanker. It’s for cleaning equipment and personal gear.
One option could be to ask a neighbor if they could lend their garden hose, of course for a fee 😉
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to arrange this? Using a water barrel in January is probably not a good idea 🙂
How would you suggest I approach the neighbor about this?

Thanks a lot,
Best regards

Hello,

we borrowed a temporary water connection from the water utility, so that we could get water ourselves. You only have to pay for the consumption.

Otherwise, the colleagues here also said they only needed a bucket of water. I then placed one for them.

Best regards

I don’t understand the problem. Every house gets a water connection, so you can simply branch off from there and that’s it.

For the OP, we are still quite far from having a water connection installed or available.

Just go over and talk to them 😉

...and say: "Hi, I’m your new neighbor. Hey, by the way, can the masons get some water... our first barbecue evening is at our place" 🙂

The irony is clear.
The idea with the hydrant standpipe is great, but a bit complicated. Thanks for your responses; I will either go to the neighbor or arrange containers with water.
