Hello everyone,

For my non-commercial hobby recording studio, I need to design and build the ventilation system myself for cost reasons.

I have a heat exchanger for a room measuring 8 x 5 m (26 x 16 ft) with a ceiling height of 2.60 m (8.5 ft), so about 100 cubic meters (3,530 cubic feet), using 16 mm (0.63 inch) pipes.

I’m wondering where the intake and exhaust pipe openings are usually placed: I can decide freely and would like to understand what the standard practice is. I can bring the pipes in either from the left or from below (see image, marked in yellow), but I’m not sure where in the room to position them for the best air circulation.

Most of the time, I will be sitting in the same spot, shown with an arrow in the image. Should the fresh air supply come from behind me, in front of me, or from the side?

I hope you can help me 🙂

Best regards,
jeandado

No one has any ideas? Or is something essential missing? 🙁
