ᐅ Where can I find building plans or assembly instructions for MALM furniture?

Hello everyone, I have been looking for blueprints for the MALM furniture line from IKEA for some time. I am especially interested in technical drawings or scaled plans that would allow me to either build my own MALM chest of drawers or replicate a similar piece of furniture. Does anyone have an idea where to find such detailed construction plans? I am not only looking for general measurements but precise details including drill hole locations, material thicknesses, and connection methods. It would be great if someone could also share their personal experiences with building a replica. Thanks in advance for your tips!
An additional note: The assembly instructions from IKEA, which usually come with the furniture, are often publicly available online on the IKEA website. You can find them as PDFs, including exploded diagrams and parts lists; however, technical details such as drill hole measurements in millimeters are usually not included.
Search there for the Malm chest of drawers or your specific model.
A legal remark: Reproducing items for private use is often permitted, but sharing the plans or selling reproductions could infringe copyright laws. This should be kept in mind.

If you are working on creating your own plans, I recommend using them as a base and supplementing them with precise measurements.
I once took the time to create a step-by-step drawing where I marked the exact dimensions of the drawer fronts and the cabinet body, including screw positions. If anyone needs it, I’d be happy to share it here as a digital sketch.
It’s important to pay attention to the material thickness of the particleboard: 16 mm (0.63 inches) is the standard for MALM, and the drill hole diameters are usually about 7 mm (0.28 inches) for dowels.

The material thickness and dowel positions are exactly what I’ve found hardest to estimate so far.
How do you usually proceed when you need to measure missing dimensions? Do you rely on specific measuring tools or methods?
