ᐅ What aspects of your home construction went smoothly?

Hello everyone, maybe to encourage all construction beginners: on every building site, there are trades that still work completely smoothly and in the interest of the homeowner. It might be worth mentioning and praising them here. I’ll start:

- Electricians; quick, precise, smart, friendly, and also affordable.
- Tilers; same as above, almost invisible while working
- Floor layers, ditto
- As the crowning touch, today after the first chimney season, the chimney sweep came.
Cleaning door in the wood shelf in the living room, he arrived with brand-new shoe covers, a spotless cordless vacuum cleaner, and didn’t leave a speck of dust behind...

We were very satisfied with the electrician.
The tiler was excellent.
The carpentry work on the doors offered unbeatable value for money.

Installing the kitchen was almost an art form, and the poor kitchen fitter is probably glad to be done with us, but the kitchen looks beautiful.

The brick fireplace also turned out really well.

After we terminated the interior plasterer’s contract due to lack of performance, the exterior plasterwork was done with millimeter precision. The details with the reveals, pilasters, and cornice were also quite a feat, and we are very pleased.

Everything except the construction staircase

So far, everything is going well—except for a few minor issues that were immediately corrected since we visit the construction site at least twice a week.

From our perspective, only the tile installers and the landscaping were completely trouble-free, while almost all other trades were satisfactory.

The structural builder made the best impression, even though most of the mistakes occurred there.

We have been very lucky so far with our structural builder and his team. They work incredibly hard, are friendly, precise, and clean, and they tidy up several times a week, including sweeping out the shell structure. Our expert inspector described the entire construction site as "exemplary" during the walkthrough yesterday.
