Hello,
Since the landscaping contractor will start in September and will completely design our outdoor area, only this one corner remains.
One side is open towards the neighbor, and I would like to have it closed off. It should look nice and not be too expensive. Do you have any ideas?
Best regards, Moni

Too expensive is flexible.
The most affordable option is plants. Climbing plants such as roses, Virginia creeper
Fruit hedges
Perhaps a simple wooden wall behind them

I personally find bamboo really beautiful. However, I have been informed that it tends to spread quite a bit. So, it would need to be contained somehow. The main plant only lives for about 7 years or so, meaning it would need to be replaced every 7 years...

I have now used planting containers as privacy screens, measuring 120cm x 45cm x 45cm (47 inches x 18 inches x 18 inches)... you just have to make sure to choose plants that don’t spread aggressively.

Self-building with roofing battens for low cost, and optionally adding some greenery in front, if desired.

Small wooden garden shed with horizontal battens, next to a green hedge and a paved path.

Fargesia grows in clumps. Not every bamboo dies off every 7 years. However, a proper root barrier is definitely important, yes.
