I have an issue with the assembly hardware from Ikea for the Metod system – some of the dowels and connecting screws for one of my cabinets were damaged or bent during assembly. This is making the build difficult, and I’m wondering what the best way is to get replacement parts or if you have any recommendations for alternative fasteners that might work.
Do you have experience with damaged Ikea Metod assembly hardware? How can replacements be arranged, especially if you can’t visit an Ikea store directly? Or are there compatible screws and dowels that can be purchased independently? I would appreciate any advice.

I will now actually try using the online customer service and provide the exact part numbers.
If anyone else finds themselves in the same situation later: It is really important not to improvise the correct mounting hardware, as Ikea Metod actually has very high requirements for the fit.
