Hello everyone, I have been experiencing an issue for some time now with the drawers of my Ikea Besta cabinets not sliding properly. Specifically, they either catch, feel stiff, or sometimes only move with a strong pull when opening and closing. The drawer slides themselves look undamaged from the outside, but I suspect that the rollers might be worn out or that dirt has accumulated. Does anyone know this problem or have experience with what the best approach is in such a case? I would like to know whether a repair is worthwhile, if it makes sense to get replacement parts, or if the entire mechanism might need to be replaced. Thanks in advance for any tips and advice!

JAMESONB412 Nov 2018 09:22Additionally, you can check if the drawer runners are still straight. Warping causes resistance. Replacement parts are readily available at Ikea; just remember the model number.
