I’m a man with two left hands.
Usually, a new wall is treated with a cement residue remover. Unfortunately, I used citric acid instead. As a result, the wall has white stains. How can I completely remove them?

I am desperate.

Thank you for your support.

Have you already tried all the mechanical methods?
I’m not sure, but I would try:
- mechanical cleaning (root brush, wire brush, steam cleaner...)
- combined with more/stronger acid if mechanical alone doesn’t work
- possibly with a solvent; acetone would be my choice

The second point, of course, depends on whether you used too little acid and it just spread instead of dissolving, or too much/too strong and altered something in the masonry.
Only you can assess that.

As far as I know, cement residue remover is diluted hydrochloric acid (%?). Lemon is too weak. So, it is probably the cement showing, not residues of the citric acid. Use a proper acid again and a brush as mentioned above. However, once the cement has fully dried, it is not an easy task…
