Hello everyone, I am facing the challenge of assembling an IKEA Hemnes wardrobe, but I have very limited space to work in—my room is quite small and tightly furnished. My specific question to the community is: What tips or proven strategies are there for assembling the HEMNES series, especially when there is little free space to move around and organize the parts? I am interested in everything from optimal preparation and handling the many individual pieces to possible tricks for assembly in a confined area. Thank you very much for your help!
I would also add that playing music or a short podcast during assembly can lift your mood, especially when space is limited and you need to keep track of many details. A relaxed mindset makes the work much easier. And simply standing up and stretching from time to time helps protect your back.

One last note: When you install doors soon, be careful not to tighten your screws too much before everything is properly aligned. Especially in tight spaces, you might have to loosen everything again—so avoid preliminary tightening and instead adjust several times as needed.

zarHenning23 May 2022 16:38If you don’t have any helpers, try laying the rails and fittings flat on the floor and securing them with small weights. This way, you can prevent them from slipping while working in tight corners.
