Hello everyone, I am currently planning a new furnishing project with IKEA Platsa and have been considering the possible size adjustments that this system allows. I am particularly interested in which specific dimensional modifications can be made by yourself with IKEA Platsa, or which options IKEA offers as standard. Specifically, I mean whether individual modules can be adjusted in height, width, or depth, if there are special solutions for unusual ceiling heights, or if individual shelves can be positioned flexibly. Are there also known limitations, such as maximum load capacity for certain sizes or combinations? I would appreciate a as complete and accurate overview as possible so that I can optimize my planning.

Another practical tip: If you can’t get the modules in Platsa to fit your exact room dimensions, base or top panels are a good solution to visually close the gaps. These are available in different heights and colors and can also be cut to size. This way, you achieve a neat overall look without having to modify the system itself. This is often more practical and cleaner for adjusting measurements at the edges than altering the cabinet itself.

Hey, I just wanted to say: PLATSA is really versatile! 🎉 Of course, the dimensions are fixed, but it’s exactly this modularity that makes it fun. You can get really creative and use the storage space efficiently. Even though custom sizes aren’t possible, I’ve already created great solutions with the available modules. Just be brave and start combining! 🙂
