Hello everyone,
I have been having issues with the doors on my Billy shelves for some time now. They no longer close properly, often remaining slightly ajar or reopening after being closed. I have already checked that the screws are still tight, and the shelves appear to be standing straight. Unfortunately, I could not find any obvious warping or other damage.
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this and how I can get the doors to close properly again? It would be great if the solution is not just temporary but more long-lasting. Thanks in advance!

Adjusting the hinges really helped!Great to hear that it went so well!
I would also like to point out that it is advisable to regularly check the shelves when there are fluctuations in humidity, as these issues tend to recur when the wood expands or contracts.
An even more precise maintenance step could be lubricating the hinges with a special silicone or Teflon spray, which keeps them smooth and easier to adjust.
And if a door ever becomes sticky again, please avoid using force, as this often causes irreparable damage.
If problems persist, a fine adjustment by professionals or a hinge specialist at a furniture store might be advisable.
Finally, a tip: Do not hang or attach heavy items to the doors, as this puts unnecessary strain on the hinges.
