Hello everyone,
Some time ago, I purchased a Malm bed frame from IKEA, and recently several cracks have appeared on the surface and partially at the joints. Since the frame is only about half a year old, I find these cracks quite concerning, especially because they are visually noticeable and also raise doubts about the stability.
My question for you: What is the best way to deal with such cracks in a Malm bed frame? Does anyone have experience with repairs or replacements? Should I possibly contact customer service, or are there any DIY tips to professionally fix the cracks?
I look forward to your helpful advice and suggestions. Thank you!

I filled small cracks at a similar spot on my MALM bed and lightly repainted it.Thanks for the tip. I'm especially interested in how you matched the color, since the frame on mine is white. Did you use a specific wood filler or paint that covers well and matches the Malm white? Or are there better options like repair markers?

Repair markers are often cheaper but are less opaque and durable for larger cracks. For the best results, apply filler and paint in several layers. This helps maintain the appearance over time and makes the cracks less noticeable.
