Hello dear house-building forum members!!!! :p
A little background about us.
In December 2010, we signed a contract with a small construction company for a semi-detached house. The contract included both the land and the house. The other half of the building had not been sold yet.
Construction started in April 2011. The construction company wanted to build up the unsold half at the same time and sell it during or after the construction phase.
In August 2012, the company declared bankruptcy.
Now almost everything is settled, and the property will finally be transferred to us. The notary appointment is set. The other half is now being sold to friends of ours.
My future neighbor works in a construction company himself and gave me the idea to finish the house using self-build labor. At least the shell, electrical work, tiling, and landscaping.
Many of our relatives have also offered their help, and the skills are present since three houses were built by relatives as self-builds 10–15 years ago.
So we wanted to give it a try.
But what do I need to know or arrange beforehand?
What about the people helping? If an accident happens, is there something like accident insurance and how expensive is it?
How do I prove in a possible inspection that the helpers are only friends and relatives and not undeclared workers? Do I have to register them somewhere beforehand and what does that cost?
Is there anything important I still need to consider?

No offense, but these questions have been answered here several times already, and there simply isn’t enough time to keep addressing them repeatedly. Please read through the previous posts a bit, and your questions above will sort themselves out 😉
Kind regards
