Hello everyone,

I am currently looking for a type of flooring and recently visited a house where I really liked the floor.

However, no one could provide information about the type of floor it is.

Therefore, I would like to use the collective knowledge here and hope someone can point me in the right direction. From my research, it might be something like Doussie or Afzelia.

Thank you very much!

I think it looks like Merbau.

Could be cherry. Acacia would be more rustic. It’s not softwood.

I would rather guess it is some kind of oiled oak – but cherry would also be possible. Unfortunately, the image quality is not very good...

No oak. The grain doesn’t match (nor the color or the dimensions). Merbau, cherry, doussie, or similar.
I would take it to a flooring showroom.

It is definitely not oak; I would guess steamed American cherry or European cherry, which is more expensive.
Edit: yes, market oak could also be a very good possibility.
